Customizing

Drawing on his experience and thanks to attentive listening, Daniel Lévy accompanies his clients through the personalization stage. Choice of collar, type of cuffs and style of cut are the three elements of shirt customization. They will adapt to the customer’s wishes and to the occasion on which his shirt will be worn. English style, Italian style, vintage inspiration, classic or modern, Daniel Lévy accompanies his clients as closely as possible to their personality, without derogating from respect for elegance.

French, Italian, English or Mao collar? The type of collar will be determined during this step, depending on the accessorization of the shirt (worn with or without a tie) as well as its degree of flexibility or rigidity. Regarding the cuffs, the choice will be between buttoned cuffs or French cuffs (with cufflinks).

Finally, the last element of personalization, the cut of the shirt is determined according to the morphology and the clothing style of the customer.

“The shirt makes the man. The design of a made-to-measure shirt is the moment when one of the facets of our client’s personality is embodied”.

After the measurements are taken, the fitting on canvas takes place. This second appointment allows for the final adjustments to be made. These two steps are only done for the first shirt making. The measurements and the fabric are then preciously preserved and serve as a basis for the orders to come.

“The accuracy of the measurements is the guarantee of a perfectly fitting shirt and the result of over 20 years of experience.

The durability of a fabric, its intrinsic properties, its titration and its origin are determining criteria. Daniel Lévy sources exclusively from houses renowned for their excellence, such as the Anglo-Saxon Thomas Mason, Carlo Riva David & John Anderson, the Italian S.I.C.T.E.S.S, the Swiss Alumo… Holders of age-old traditions, they are recognized worldwide for the quality of their raw materials. The tradition of know-how coexists with the permanent renewal of the collections. The cottons come from Egypt and America and the linen is cultivated essentially in France.
